It Was Formed In 1993 By The Cooperation Of Major Suppliers Of Victorian Hardwood. This Network Facilitates Exports For 8 Major Companies With Long Term Annual Licence Allocations For Over 500,000 Cubic Metres Of Logs. It Is Able To Supply Large Capacity Users Through Coordination Of Supply Within This Network Assuring Quality Guidelines And Specifications Are Met. The Development Of Greater Kiln Drying Capacity By The Members In Response To Market Demand For Quality Appearance Grade Timber (lumber) Products Is An Example Of This Cooperation. The Australwood Network Operates With Independent Members Being Able To Contribute Production To The Network, Or Sell Independently Using The Network's Brand. No Member Of The Network Is Precluded From Dealing With Individual Clients Or Negotiating Different Standards Or Product Needs With Individual Overseas Buyers.
