Company Profile	:	Autoacc Trading Private Limited Was Formed On 23 September 1984 By Mr Low Chee Meng And Began Its Operations In A Humble 800 Sq Ft Shophouse Along Jalan Besar Road. Mr Low, Who Is The Company's Managing Director, Holds A Master's Degree In Commerce From The University Of Canterbury, And Was Only Thirty-three Years Of Age When He Started Off With An Initial Paid-up Capital Of S$200,000. Within A Few Short Years, Autoacc Trading Pte Ltd Had Shifted To Larger Premises And Was Successfully Distributing Many Prestigious Automotive Accessories And The Paid-up Capital Has Increased To S$1.8 Million Dollars. In Its Fifth Year, Autoacc Trading Pte Ltd Was Appointed As The Sole Distributor Fo Bbs In Singapore. Mr Low Who Is The President Of The Singapore Cycle & Motor Traders' Association, Was Also Elected As A Council Member Of The Singapore Chinese Chamber Of Commerce And Industry In The Same Year. The Year 1991 Marked A Major Milestone For Autoacc As It Was Awarded The Distribution Rights For Pirelli Tyres In Singapore, Brunei. Autoacc Responded To Pirelli's Confidence By Investing In A Larger Office Along Paya Lebar Road Which Also Housed A Modern And Well-equipped Service Centre And A Stock-holding Facility. The New Relationship Led To The Establishment Of Autoacc's Representative Office In Beijing Which Subsequently Helped Pirelli Launch Its Products In China In 1992, And Later Autoacc Was Given The Distribution Right For China And Indonesia. As Competition Within The Tyre Industry Grew, Autoacc Not Only Stood Its Ground, It Went Against The Odds As A New Player Among The Well-established Tyre Distributors To Exceed All Expectations. The Company's Intensive Efforts To Boost Its Performance Also Brought About A Joint-venture With Japanese Automotive Accessories Giant "autobacs" In January 1995 Which Gave Singapore Car-owners Their First Auto Accessory Supermarket - The First Outlet Of Its Kind Outside Of Japan And Taiwan And Operations Began At Paya Lebar Shortly After Autoacc Moved To Its Brand New Building In Loyang.
